整体设计思路

本课教学内容选自人教版英语教材Unit 2 This is my sister第一课时的听力部分

本单元的第一课时首先以辨认图片与单词的形式教会学生怎样区分家人这一类的单词。然后运用听力材料加深学生对单词的印象,并让学生朗读教材中的对话,这样学生自然而然地就能学会如何使用句子whats she/he?”询问家庭成员,并学会怎样回答。最后通过分角色朗读课文,让学生快速融入询问家庭成员的情境中,这样既给了学生表现自己的机会,也能锻炼学生的心理素质。

教学目标

1. Get students to learn how to greet people, introduce themselves and make new friends.

2. Practice introducing family members.

3. Get students to learn to identify people.

教学重难点

Teaching focus

Learn some new words like mother, father, parents, brothers, grandmother, grandfather, friend, sister and so on.

This is my brother. These are my two brothers. And that’s my sister.

Guiding students to use “Whos he/she?” to identify people.

Teaching difficulty

Students might find it difficult to answer these questions.

Give students the following answers to help them to understanding.

Lead in

Play the tape, enjoy the “This is my brother” song, and let students to sing together.

To elicit the topic

Pre-listening

Tell students that they will be talking about the members of Dave’s family shown in the picture.

Ask a student to read the words to the class. Then ask the students to repeat the sentences and point to these people in the large picture.

To help students understand the meaning of the family members

While-listening

Do Section A, 2a. Ask students listen and circle each name of a family member they hear in the conversation.

Do Section A, 2b. Let students listen again, and match the letters next to the people in the picture to the correct names in the box. Check the answers.

Ask students to practice the conversation in 2a. First the teacher will say the key words of one sentence, and the students respond the corresponding sentence. Then listen again and ask them to try to remember the conversation. Fill in the blanks.

To help students get more deeply understanding of the new words then improve their listening ability.

Post-listening

Pair work: make up a dialogue on ask family members.

Role play: read the conversation in 2dthe teacher will ask students show their performance.

To help students practice the sentence pattern 

Assignments

1. Listen and read after the tape for thirty minutes.

2. Recite the sentences in the bubble of 1a and the sentences in1b.

3. Write down the Chinese meaning of the new words and key sentences.
