This reading article is about students problems which makes Ss from Grade 8 who have learned English for several years and still have a strong desire to learn better resonate. At the beginning of this class, I will arouse Ss’ interest by guessing a picture to get some usual problems and possible solutions. Then with several reading tasks, I will guide Ss to explore what we should do when we have problems. This is to help them to describe problems and learn to give advices. By the end of this class, Ss will understand problems and difficulties are normal in life with the knowledge learned in this reading.

By the end of this class, Ss will be able to:

1. Improve the ability of reading, such as skimming and scanning.

2. Learn to describe experiences about problems and how to give advices.

3. Learn how to face problems in reality through Lauras experience.

1. Some phrases and get main idea of each paragraph..

2. Express their worries;

3. Guide Ss to analyze Lauras experience and feelings.

1st reading:

1. Get the main idea of each paragraph.

2. Ask & Answer of each paragraph.

1. Predict some worries in the passage.

2.scanning.

3.tallk these worries with partners.

These help Ss to have an understanding of Lauras experience and feelings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

While-reading

2nd reading:

1. Find out the answers of the questions .

2. Elicit Ss to think who can give us advice.

 

1. Read carefully and circle the key phrases.

2. Discuss in groups to find out more details about Lauras experience.

3.talk about Hunts advice.

 

 

 

These help Ss to understand that sharing problems is a good way to solve worries.

Q: Why didn't Laura wants to tell her parents about her lost wallet?

Post-reading

1 .talk their worries in groups.

2.Make an interview to  students.

3.relaxing about worries.

 

 

1. Describe experience about worries and how to solve it.

2. make a presentation.

These help students to express, and know worries a lot.

 

 

Homework

1. Finish 2d and 2e on Page78.

 2.   Write a passage about problem and advice.
