This class by creating situation, and guide students to discover problems, constructing knowledge framework and system, at the same time use the language in the process of practical operation, to solve actual problem, form an effective, and positive thinking quality, so as to enhance the capacity of language using. And through some activities to enhance the ability of reading, the interests of reading. By the end of this class, Ss will be able to know how to reading better and have a better culture consciousness.

By the end of this class, Ss will be able to:

1. know the background information of Thanksgiving Day and know how to make a turkey;

2. resolve some problems of Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival;

3. have a better interest in traditional festivals and form a a better culture consciousness.

Ss are interested in videos and familiar with the surface information of some traditional festivals, but the cultural significance as well as the background of festivals are unfamiliar to them. How to design teaching procedures to elicit Ss to learn to learn more knowledge about the background and let them to form a better culture consciousness is the point that I need to think about.
