整体设计思路

This reading article is about talent shows, which is familiar to the Ss from Grade 8 but actually they don’t have a real understanding of it. At the beginning of this class, T will arouse Ss’ interest to talk about talent shows based on the facts they have known. Then with several reading tasks, T will guide Ss to explore the real talent shows today dialectically. This is to help them to guide students to have a correct value. By the end of this class, T will let Ss to deal with talent show around us. Ss will be able to apply the knowledge learned in the classroom to life.

 

 

 

 

教学目标

By the end of this class, Ss will be able to:

 1. Get information and learn reading skills.

 2. Retell the passage according to the questions and improve the reading ability through exercise.

 3. Express and write their views on talent shows with what we learned today.

 4. Students can look at the talent show and actors dialectically; and believe that as long as they work hard, everyone can succeed, thereby developing good quality of perseverance.

Students are familiar with the topic of talent shows because they don’t have a real understanding of such shows, and they cannot express their views on talent shows in English. Teachers will help students form correct value that believing efforts can make success and they can deal with talent shows critically.
