第四课时

 Teaching and Learning Goals

一、功能Learn how to talk about preferences:

Whats  your his her favorite subject?

二、词汇和常用表达: Learn and use the wordsfree; cool; Tuesday; Thursday;Wednesday ;Sunday; A.M.; P.M. .

五、文化知识Lead the students to learn to be grateful to their parents and do something nice for them.

Step1:Pre-listening activities

1. Preview

Ask the Ss to translate the following Chinese into English. First ask the Ss to put them into English orally, then let them write English down without looking at the textbooks.

【设计意图】:本部分词组与句子为学生的预习作业,词组和句子都是本节课的重要语言知识,该部分预习内容可以帮助学生更有目的性的预习。同时通过检测学生的预习效果,教师可以更有针对性地教,学生可以更有针对性的学。

2Leading in

Show some pictures with days of the week and get Ss to ask and answer:

A: Which day is the first day of a week?

B: Sunday.

A: Whats your favorite day?

B: Friday.

A: Why do you like Friday?

B: Because the next day is Saturday.

And after that, ask students  to look back on the description words  

T: Good morning , boys and girls. Do you know any description words?

 Ss: Yes. I do.

T: What are they?

Ss:  easy; difficult; interesting; fun; boring

T: Well, we know easy is the opposite of difficult. Would you like  to know more

Opposites? So ,lets come to 1a ,Section B.

1a  Get Ss to match the words on the left with their opposites on the right.

And  after that check the answers together.

boring ----interesting; free----busy ;difficult----easy.

【设计意图】:通过师生交流,引出本节课的一个知识点:对于描述性的词汇的学习。激发学生去学习思考。同时便于学生理解并掌握这些词汇。

Step2:While-listening activities

1. Read through the schedule.

   T: Look at the schedule below. This is David's schedule. December 25th is Monday, December 26th is Tuesday

   T: What classes does David have on Monday?

   S1: He has science, English, Chinese, P.E., geography and art.

   T: Then what activity does David have on Saturday?

   S1: He has a soccer game.

   T: What activity does David have on Sunday?

   S1: It's Bill's birthday party.

   T: OK. Read through the schedule and find out what classes David have from Monday to Friday.

2. Now listen to the tape and get the main idea of the conversation.

Task 1. Listen and find the main  idea of the conversation .

The main  idea of the conversation is          .

A. talking about Davids classmates.

B. talking about Davids favorite subject.

C. talking about Davids school

Ask Ss to listen and get the main idea of the conversation, and then check the answer.B

Task 2. Listen and find the specific details of the conversation.

【设计意图】:听力练习的设计:主要是让学生明确听的任务。先让学生听取文章的大意,然后告诉学生如何去听取细节.本环节可以让学生听三至四遍。直到学生完全听懂为止。

Step3:Post-listening activities

1d  1. Get Ss to listen to the conversation and repeat.

    2. Ask Ss to talk about Davids favorite subject and act it out in pairs.

They can do like this:

A:   Whats Davids favorite subject?

B:   His favorite subject is Chinese.

AWhy does he like it?

B:   Because its difficult but interesting.

A:   When is his Chinese class?

B:   Its on Monday ,Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

    3. Tell Ss to try to retell the listening conversation .They can retell like this:

David doesnt like Tuesday because he has two math classes on Tuesday. He thinks math is so difficult. But his father says its interesting. Chinese is his favorite subject. He likes Chinese because it is difficult but interesting. And his Chinese class is on Monday , Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

【设计意图】以小组为单位合作学习,使小组的每一位学生都能开口表达。以至于每一位学生都参加到学习当中,有助于学生的合作交流。

Step 4 Summary

Inquiry into knowledge by translation:

1. 表示星期、月份的名词都是专有名词,单词的第一个字母必须       ,而且前面不加任何              

2. 在英语中,如果同时出现日期和星期,一般先说        ,后说          

3. 在英语中,一个星期中的第一天是           。在星期几用介词           

二、A.M. 意为“         ”,是ante meridiemde             24小时之中的24:00---11:59, 换算成12小时制时就用A.M.做后缀。

如:上午9点可以写成            .  

P.M.意为“            ”,是post meridiem 的缩写, 24 小时制中的12:00---23:59, 换算成12小时制时就用P.M.做后缀表示。

【教有所思】 这是一节以听说为主的对话课。在本节课当中,主要让学生学会谈论科目的喜好,以及对星期的表达。在此课中,通过师生讨论引导学生听、说、读、写,同时鼓励孩子进行交流,纠错,提高。当堂交流活跃了课堂气氛,带动了一些不爱交流表达的学生,使学生积极参与, 提高了课堂的趣味性。让学生在完成任务后体会大学习知识的快乐.
