2. Brainstorm some facts they’ve known about Malaysia and share them what they want to know about it.

These aim to motivate Ss’ current knowledge about Malaysia and arouse Ss’ interest to explore what they want to know.

While-reading

1st reading:

1. Elicit Ss to find out the facts about the dairy to finish the chart with 2c.

2. Introduce Jane’s vacation in their own words.

3.Show the students two questions and ask them to read the dairy.

1. Predict some facts of Jane’s vacation.

2. Read carefully, underline activities what Jane did in the dairy. 3.Work in groups to talk about these activities.

These help Ss to have a clear mind for Jane’s vacation in Malaysia..

Qs:1.Did Jane have a good time on Monday?

2nd reading:

1. Find out the key words to describe Jane’s vacation.

2. Elicit Ss to discuss

How was Jane’s trip to Penang hill

1.Read carefully and circle the key words. 2.Discuss in groups to find out how was Jane’s trip in Penang hill.
