This reading article is a survey report about students’ activities at No.5 high school in their free time, which is very close to the life of Ss from Grade 8 who have learned English for several years and still have a strong desire to learn better. At the beginning of this class, T will arouse Ss’ interest to find out information from the text about survey contents and data. Then with several reading tasks, T will guide Ss to find out details and the writer’s opinion. This help Ss to understand the purpose of doing these activities. By the end of this class, Ss will be able to summarize the best way to relax by doing a survey. |

Ss are interested in talking about activities in their free time and familiar with sentence pattern about asking activities and frequency. They can make an proper evaluation about others. But they still have some bad habits to relax in their free time. How to design teaching procedures to elicit Ss to make evaluations for themselves and know which activities should do more, which should do less then practice them in their lives is the point that I need to think about. |
