Starter Unit 1 Good morning!(第4课时)

(一)  教元音字母和它们的发音,并且尝试把字母和单词按读音分类。

Teaching and learning steps

Step1   Review

      Role play the dialogue in period 3 in front of the class.

Step2   Preview

 Read the following letters and try to check if they have the same phoneme.

下列字母中的读音中含有相同音素的打 “√”, 含有不同音素的打 ”。

Step3 Warming up and leading in

1. Play games about the English letters. Look at the pictures and try to Reaction challenge.

Speak out the letters as soon as they see the pictures . Who can speak the most letters, who will be winners.

(设计意图:通过看图快速说出所听到的字母这个游戏,既有助于培养学生的注意力又是对字母读音的一个有效复习。加上游戏本身的趣味性,使复习字母变得不再枯燥,锻炼学生的迅速反应能力。)

2 Review the English names to go over the letters that we have learned.

T: I’ll show the eight names on the picture first and ask you to read them. Then look at the faces and put the names in the correct alphabetical order. See if they can recognize them and remember their names. At last write them down on your books.

设计意图:通过复习学生的名字并按字母顺序排列,以此来复习学过的字母。)

Step4 Listen and pronunciation

TBoys and girls, we’ve learned eight letters. Do you know how to pronounce the letters in the words? Let’s come to 4b.

Listening for the general ideas

4b1 T: First, try to read the letters and words in the chart in 4b by yourselves. Then listen to the tape and pay attention to the pronunciation of the vowel letters “A” and “E”. When you finish listening, please stand up and read them correctly and quickly . Let’s see who can read best?

4b 2 Listening for the specific ideas

   T: listen again and fill in the chart with the letters that you hear.

T: Let’s find out the rules of pronunciation together.

(设计意图:这样设计的听、仿读和听力填空能让学生逐渐地去体会元音字母AE的发音规则。)

Post-listening activities 4c

1.  T: Do the letter A and E have the same sound?

Read the letters and words in column 1 and try to make sure Ss can understand the difference between the two “ a” sounds and the two “ e” sounds.

2.  Try to read the new words in column 2 and make sure they know the distinction between different pronunciations of the same letter. The teacher moves around the classroom and helps Ss if necessary check their pronunciations.

(设计意图:通过进一步的朗读让学生确认这两个元音字母在不同的单词里的发音,并利用所掌握的发音去试读新的词汇。)

Step 5. Review

1.Review how to greet others at different time.

T : You are a new student at a new school, if you want to make more friends . You should be more outgoing and friendly. So you must greet your classmates at different time.

If you know him/ her English name, you’d better greet him / her using name.

The students can practice the dialogues in many different ways. (in pairs, in groups or one by one)

(设计意图:通过创设一定的语境来让学生进行操练对话,能更好的体现语言的真实性。)

2. Ask the Ss to read the following: 1b on Ps1 ,  3a , 3c on Ps3. Then read after the tape again and pay attention to the pronunciation .

3.Just for fun

(上了一段时间的课,学生有点疲劳,听点英语笑话,既能复习对话,又能放松,两全其美。)

4. Listen and sing the song in 4d. We can review the key sentences and interest the Ss by singing.

(七年级的学生活泼好动,通过唱歌、游戏、抢答、笑话等方式来进行教学能充分调动学生的学英语的兴趣,提高学习效率。)

Step6  Inquiry into knowledge by translation

一、”Good morning !” 意为“        ”,“Good afternoon!”意为“        ”,“            ”意为“你好吗?”,“            ”意为“晚上好!”。见到熟人或朋友时,可以用HiHello表示比较随意的、简单的问候。

选出下列句子的答语或问句。

二、元音字母A在重读开音节中一般发/ei/音,在重读闭音节中一般发/æ/ 音。元音字母E在重读开音节中一般发/i:/音,在重读闭音节一般发/e/音。试着读出下列单词。

亮点

本教案的编排,始终都贯穿着人性化教学通过朗读、观察让学生自己进行小结,归纳,有助于培养他们的自学能力,当然教师必要的指导也是必不可少的。根据七年级学生的自身特点,活泼、好动,多设计一些学生们喜欢的游戏和活动,让学生在展示自我的过程中,让他们充分体验到勇敢、积极、大胆所带来的愉快的心情体验,对于培养他们学英语的兴趣来说是非常重要的。当堂检测,把学习过的字母和本堂课所教授的新知识串联在一起,达到温故而知新。在英语教学中创设一定的语言情景,使学生宛如置于一种真实的语言环境中,从而达到学以致用的效果

不足之处

这节课的内容对学生而言有一定难度,特别是关于音节的学习是个难理解的语法点。需要更多地练习。

使用建议

在对话练习中要鼓励学生根据情景多说多练,可使用肢体语言。
