Step I. Pre-listening activities

1. Preview

Ask the Ss to translate the following Chinese into English. Firstask the Ss to put them into English orally, thenlet themwriteEnglish down without looking atthetextbooks.

Step II.While-listening activities

1. Listen and find the general idea.

(1) Show the picture of 1a and ask the Ss to match the words with the pictures.

(2) Tell the Ss that Linda and Anna are talking about something. Ask the Ss to listen to their conversationand find out:

2.because意思为___________,表示____________,用来回答由___________引导的问句。我们在汉语中常说“因为…所以…”,但在英语中却不能把___________和________连用。在一个句子中,只能用其一。
