I.                   Task 1

1. Present some verbs and read them together.

Read, watch, do, enjoy, sleep, visit

Have, write, take, run, swim, get

2. Ask students to change these verbs with ‘ING’

  read--- reading, watch--- watching, do--- doing, enjoy--- enjoying, sleep--- sleeping, visit---visiting, have--- having, write--- writing, take--- taking, run--- running, swim--- swimming, get--- getting

3. Read these words again and summarize the rules of adding ‘ing’.

4. Make a conclusion for this task and give 5 stars to students.

II.                Task 2

1.     Present the target sentences.

T: What am I doing?

Ss: You’re reading.

T: Where am I reading?

Ss: You’re reading in the classroom.

T: Yes, I’m reading at school.

2.     Play a game with the cards.

Read the cards together to review the places and activities learned before. Teacher makes an example for students:

a>   Choose a card from activities, such as: writing

T: What am I doing?

Ss: You’re writing a letter.

b>  Choose a card from places, such as: pay phone

T: Where am I writing a letter?

Ss: You’re writing a letter at the pay phone.

c>   Students play this game.

A student chooses an activity: watching

T-S1: What’re you doing?

S1: I’m watching TV.

S1 chooses a place: bank

  T-S1: Where are you watching TV?

  S1: I’m watching TV at the bank.

Teacher asks the class with the two cards:

       3. Write a dialogue on Bb and give stars to students.

III.             Task 4

1.     Present the pictures and talk about the pictures.

2.     Students work in pairs and talk about the pictures they prepared.

4.     Page 29 3a. Listen and find out the activities and places.

5.     Read after the tape and number the photos.

6.     Repeat this letter with the ‘first, second, third, last ’ on the Bb.

7.     Page 29 3b. Look at the picture and fill in the blanks.

9.     Give students to stars.

IV.            Conclusion & homework

   Today we learned the present progress tense. We talked about what our families are doing in our photos. Everyone has a happy family. We should love our family. Please write something about your family photo.
