1. 从以下四句话中任意选一句进行小组对话练习:

a.         I can’t pronounce some of the words.

b.         I can’t spell some English words.

c.         I read very slowly.

d.         I make mistakes in grammar.

2. 小组自编对话。

一方面复习巩固单元目标语句;另一方面引入本课时讨论的话题,引起学生的学习兴趣。

1.        Word dictation.

2.        Do the group works to review their dialogue and improve their speaking skills.

 

 

 

3. Finish the first pre-work: choose any sentences in the following and make your own dialogue:

  A. I can’t pronounce some of   the words.

  B. I can’t spell some English   words.

C. You're  Anna's brother, aren't you?

D. How big is your apartment?

 

 

 

4.        The students look at the pictures carefully and complete the listening. Then check the answers firstly in their group and try their best to correct the   answers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5.        Prepare the second pre-work: make their own dialogues.

a)          Do the group works.

b)          Present their dialogue one by one.

c)          Summarize their work.

 

Step1.Leading in

1.      The teacher and the students greet each   other.

2.      Review what they’ve learnt last period.

3.      Word dictation.

 

Step2. Presentation

1.      Lead the students to finish the first   pre-work.

2.      While the students do group works or   present their task, the teacher offers some help.

 

 Step3. Practice

SB Page 5, 2a, 2b.

1. Read the instructions. Play   the recording. The students should finish 2a and 2b. Answer any questions   they have about the recording.

2. Play the recording again. Ask   Ss to repeat after the recoding. The teacher may need to pause the tape from   time to time.

 

 Step4. Consolidation

      Give the students some   time to prepare their third pre-work, and the teacher offers some help if necessary.

 

 

Step5.   Homework

1.      Revise the new words and phrases.

2.      Do the exercises on large notebook Section B ①②③
