1.        Word dictation.

2.        Free talk: use the suggestion sentences to talk about and solute some learning challenges the students have  ever met.

 

3.        Present the first pre-work: Do you know the man in the picture? Can you tell us some different   stories about him?

a.         Do group works.

b.        Present their work one by one.

4.        The students present the second pre-work: When you face some problem or challenges in life, how will you deal with them?

a.         Present   the work.

b.        Raise   questions to discuss.

 

 

5.        Do the extensive reading. The students to predict what they think   the article is about based on the article.

6.        The students do the intensive reading.

a. The students to use the reading strategy of scanning for specific information.

b. The students to read the article carefully once time and   to raise their hands and say which words and sentences they don’t understand.  

c. The students to read in contest, guessing the meaning of   words and phrases from the other words around them.

 

7.        The students to read the article again for comprehension. The students finish 3b in section 3. This activity provides speaking, listening   and writing practice using the target language.

8.        The   students raise some questions to test each other.

 

Step1.Leading in

1.      The teacher and the students greet each   other.

2.      Review what they’ve learnt last period.

 

 

 

Step2. Presentation

1.      The teacher checks pre-work.

2.      While the students do group works or   present their task, the teacher offers some help.

 

 

 

 

 Step3. Practice

SB Page 8, Reading.

1. The teacher leads the students to finish reading the passage.

2. The teacher explains some important phrases and sentences in the passage if necessary.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Step4. Consolidation

    SB Page 9, Section3 3b.

      The teacher offers some help as the students do the group works.
