         Starter Unit 2 What's this in English? (第4课时)

Learning Goals

 1. Go over to write Aa to Rr correctly.

 2. Learn how to identify things with drills:

 What’s this /that in English?

           It’s a / an … .

 Spell it, please.

….

 3. Find the rules of the pronunciation of Aa Ee Ii Oo Uu and enable to read words correctly.

 4. Find the interest of learning English.

Pre-listening activities:

Preview

一、按顺序默写字母Aa---Rr

二、 我们目前学到的元音字母是:

     

三、 把下列句子翻译成英语:

       1.这个用英语怎么说?                                  

       2. 这是一张地图。                                      

       3. 请拼写它。                                          

       4. 那个用英语怎么说?                                  

      

四、寻找和下列字母读音类似的字母。

Warming up and leading in热身导入

Sing a song

 Sing the song “Good morning to you!” together.

   (设计意图:歌曲的演唱能调动学生的学习积极性,活跃课堂气氛,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。)

Step I. revision:

T: Let’s review the words we have learned.

Ask some students to say them one by one and then spell.

Step 2. Presentation:

  T: Point at a ruler and ask:

    What’s this in English?

  Ss: It’s a ruler.

  T: Spell it please.

  Ss: R-U-L-E-R.

Step3. Practice

  1. Ask the students to work in pairs and then ask and answer in pairs.

  2. Ask some pairs to act it out.

(设计意图:利用对话练习来巩固所学单词和句型,同时提高课堂气氛,让同学们更快的投入到课堂中。)

Step 4. Group-work.

1. Let students recite from Aa to Rr . then have a dictation.  Ask some students to recite the   letters

Get the students to do the exercises of 4a 4b by themselves , then discuss the answers in group .

Step 5. Listening for the specific ideas

 4c Listen and repeat the lettersfind out the similar pronunciation and then write them down. Get the students to discuss in groups.

. 字母本身音;短音 /eɪ/ /æ/  /i:/ /e//aɪ/  /ɪ/ /əu/ /ɔ/

 . 开音节: 以元音字母或以不发音字母e结尾的音节叫开音节。

      闭音节: 以辅音字母结尾的音节叫闭音节。

本课设计亮点:

1.   基础知识复习比较全面,细致。

2.   练习题针对性比较强,真正能做到考察学生对于知识的应有情况。

不足之处:

对于根据单词读单词训练太少,可多开发些资源进行大量的拼读训练。

使用建议:

1.可提前把讲义发给同学,让同学们提前准备,课堂上进行展示。

2.仍然要分组学习,引入竞争机制,充分调动学生的学习积极性和集体荣誉感,进而有利于对于重点知识的掌握和应用。

3. 当堂检测内容让学生在课上独立完成,老师抽查批改几份,做到易错题心中有数。
