Unit 4 Wheres my schoolbag?

第三课时  Section A (Grammar Focus 3a-3c )

Teaching and learning goals:

一、功能:能询问并描述物品的位置。

二、词汇和常用表达:

1. 能正确使用介词on, in, under描述物品所在的位置。

2. 能正确使用where引导的特殊疑问句询问物品位置。

Where is? Its in/on/under

Where are? Theyre in/on/under

3. 能正确使用一般疑问句询问物品是否在某一位置。

Is it? Yes, it is. /No, it isnt.

Are they? Yes, they are. /No, they arent.

三、文化知识:进一步培养学生整齐地摆放自己物品的生活习惯。在描述物品的位置的学习中获得英语学习的乐趣,逐步培养学生们对英语学习的兴趣。

Step1. Revision

Translate the sentences into English.

设计意图:通过翻译句子对所学内容复习检测,了解学生对所学知识的掌握情况体现了以学生为中心的思想,强调学生的参与、实践和交流,以学定教。)

Step 2. Warming up and lead-in

T: Hello, boys and girls! Lets look at a picture of my friend Marys room.

 

T: Is it a nice room?

Ss: Yes.

T: What can you see in it?

Ss: Bed, table, chair, computer, sofa, books, dictionary

T: Good! Can you make some conversations about where the things are?

Ss: Yes.

T: OK. Now  please work in pairs to ask and answer. You may use:

A: Wheres ? B: Its

A: Wherere ? B: Theyre

(设计意图:通过看图说单词和练对话的方式复习上节课所学的重点单词和句型,能够检测学生的掌握情况,便于学生本节课有针对性的听讲,更能帮助学生更好的理解语法知识。)

Step 3. Look and find the rules (观察与发现)

Task 1. Look at the pictures and fill in the blanks.

发现:表示方位的句型结构为“主语+____________+表示方位的介词+表示地方的名词”。

观察:

T: Please read the sentences of Grammar Focus. Pay attention to the red words.

发现:Where is/are 这一句型表示____________”,其后是“定冠词/物主代词+名词”的结构。当其后加可数名词单数或不可数名词时,用_________,回答时为了避免重复,______来作为答句的主语;当其后是可数名词复数时,用__________,回答时用_______作主语。

(设计意图:让学生自己通过观察例句,自己感知发现,尝试归纳语言的规律,总结本单元的重点语法知识。自己解决不了的问题,可以小组之间讨论,必要时老师可以给予适当的点拨。)

(设计意图:通过对两幅图画的比较,引导学生不要乱放物品乱扔垃圾,养成干净整洁的好习惯, 从而自然渗透到本节课的情感教育目标。)

本课亮点:

1. 围绕教学目标,设计多样化的学习活动,让学生积极参与,充分练习。

2. 观察与发现部分,充分发挥学生学习的主动性,让学生自己通过观察例句,尝试归纳语言的规律,总结本单元的重点语法知识。

3. “火眼金睛”部分,让学生进行竞赛,找出两幅图画的不同处,极大地调动了学生的学习热情和积极性,符合七年级学生的年龄特点,有趣味而又实用,也很别出心裁。

4. 教师寄语部分,教育引导学生不要乱放物品乱扔垃圾,养成干净整洁的好习惯,进行情感教育。

5. 作业布置分为必做和选作,很好的体现了分层教学,使学生既能吃饱,也能吃得好。

 

不足之处:

1. 在时间安排上有所欠缺,前松后紧,以后一定努力改正。

2. 小组合作,部分环节操作的有些死板。以后还应探索如何科学高效的使用小组合作。

使用建议:

1. 重点句型最好板书在黑板上,并且重点单词用红色粉笔标出。

2. 当堂检测中的练习题,让学生在练习本上写出答案,一定要留给学生独立思考的时间。
